GTI Gives Back

We have always had interest in helping others and have spent personal time participating in charitable and non-profit events. Over the last few years it has become a passion for us to be able to do that as a company as well. We have participated in silent auctions and have volunteered our time and resources to local schools (ex. Granby Elementary), non-profit organizations (ex. The Buckeye Ranch), and special causes (ex. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society). One of our favorite projects was when we were able to donate an entire irrigation system to our alma mater, Thomas Worthington High School, for their garden project within the Family and Consumer Sciences Curriculum on Healthy Living It was even featured on the local news with NBC 4! Our first project this year will be as one of the sponsors of the 4th Annual Brevard Circle 5K being held on April 22, 2017 and put on by the Pickerington Juvenile Diabetes Fundraising Association. Juvenile Diabetes has been a disease that has impacted the lives of several of our friends and family members, so we look forward to supporting an event that provides support to families affected by Type 1 Diabetes. 

Beginning in 2017 we would like giving back to become an even more consistent part of our daily business practices. One way we started doing this at the end of last season was for all of our work vehicles to have a Blessing Bag in them that consists of non-perishable food items, toiletries, wash cloth, blanket, etc. to hand out to homeless or less fortunate individuals we come across on our daily paths. Our service techs have embraced this and it is so encouraging to hear the stories we tell each other about the special people we encounter along the way. We will continue this during the 2017 season and beyond. Ask our techs to show you a bag when we are at your house for service, they would be happy to tell you what a blessing it has been to each of us as we find ways to give back to our community. 

We are always looking for ways to become more involved in community events. If you have any programs where we could participate either by donating our time, auction items, or other resources we may have, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
